Dealing with Sonya is basically an extension of what you’ve already been doing: keep spamming Illusory Soldiers and keep your units healed. Just don’t let them get close to any of your melee units if your unit’s health is at less than 100%. Follow the basic pattern outlined above, and the Witches will go down with only one or two close calls. If your Illusory soldiers go down, make sure you summon more, just remember to keep Genny’s health up so she doesn’t get sacrificed in the process. Also, make sure to keep your magic wielders healed as often as possible: if you don’t, you’re going to lose someone. They’ll only come in 2-3 at a time, so wipe them out with your melee units when they get close. After several turns of waiting for them to close in, the Witches will begin teleporting behind your frontline. Then form a line, end your turn, and let them come to you. Also, Before the Witches get too close, have Genny summon some Illusory Soldiers for cannon fodder for the Witches. Move everyone else back until the Witches sneak in behind your front. Once you start, move Jesse, Celica, Mae, Boey, and Genny forward-their resistance is high enough that they should be able to withstand most attacks. Equip Jesse with the Rion Shield to give him a considerable boost to his Attack, Defense, and Resistance stats even with his decreased speed, he’ll be a critical resource against the Witches. If you can survive their onslaught long enough to defang them, they’re no more dangerous than housecoats. But Witches and Mages have one fatal flaw: once they’ve spent all their health casting spells, they can’t do anything else but wait to be killed. If that doesn’t sound daunting enough, you’ll also have to take out no fewer than 9 level 3 Witches. Item: N/A For this battle, you’ll be up against Sonya, a Level 5 Mage with high resistance and defense (thanks to the Steel Shield she’s carrying), plus one devastating attack spell: Excalibur.Choosing this battle pits players against Sonya defeating her forces Deen to retreat, and removes the Northern Desert battle from the map.
